si innova e diventa 4.0
Il 7 ° Congresso E&E è organizzato congiuntamente dalla European Asphalt Pavement Association (EAPA) e da Eurobitume. Inizialmente previsto a Madrid nel maggio 2020, a causa della pandemia in corso, è stato posticipato al 2021.
Alla fine dello scorso anno, è risultato evidente che per essere assolutamente certi di proseguire il discorso la sola opzione disponibile sarebbe stata quello di modificare il Congresso E&E di Madrid in una piattaforma virtuale.
Il tema generale "Asphalt 4.0 per la mobilità futura" rimane un tema cruciale per la discussione all’interno del congresso. I futuri scenari di mobilità avranno chiari impatti sulle nostre infrastrutture stradali. Il modo di viaggiare cambierà e l'uso di veicoli automatizzati a guida autonoma avrà un effetto sugli standard della strada.

Questo significa che l'infrastruttura stradale futura, rappresentata per circa il 90% da materiali in asfalto, dovrà anche accogliere nuove soluzioni di mobilità. Come si configureranno i sistemi di trasporto non è chiaro, ma le pavimentazioni in asfalto devono essere pronte per questi requisiti futuri e le strade asfaltate il servizio che forniscono rimarranno di grande importanza in futuro per tutti i tipi di utenti, ciclisti, motocicli, automobili, TPL e veicoli pesanti.
Le nuove tecnologie non solo influenzano il futuro, ma hanno e avranno anche un chiaro impatto sul modo in cui verranno prodotti i materiali, o su come verrà pavimentato e compattato l'asfalto in futuro. Per esempio, lo sviluppo della digitalizzazione influenzerà indubbiamente il modo in cui sarà controllata e garantita la qualità.
Asphalt 4.0 for future mobility
The 7° E&E Congress is organised jointly by the European Asphalt Pavement Association (EAPA) and Eurobitume. Originally scheduled to take place in Madrid May 2020 but due to the on-going health pandemic a decision was taken to postpone the congress to 2021. At the end of last year, it became apparent that to be absolutely certain to go ahead the only option available was to change the E&E Congress Madrid to a virtual platform.

The overall theme “Asphalt 4.0 for future mobility” remains an important issue for discussion and exchanges at the congress. The future mobility scenarios will have clear impacts on our road infrastructure. The way of travel will change, and the use of automated and guided vehicles will have an effect on road requirements.

This means that the road infrastructure going forward, approximately 90% of which is represented by asphalt materials, will also need to accommodate the future mobility solutions. How transport systems will look like is not clear, but the asphalt pavements need to be ready for these future requirements and asphalt roads and the services they provide will remain of high important in the future for all types of end users from cyclists, motorcycles, cars, buses and heavy goods vehicles regardless of the way they move forward.
New technologies do not only influence the future, they also have and will have a clear impact on the way we produce materials, pave and compact asphalt in the future. For example, the implementation of digitalisation will undoubtedly influence the way we control quality and how processes are steered and managed.
